Triathlon

Triathlon is sport which combines swimming, cycling and distance running

What is Triathlon?

We give you a very simple definition with a touch of irony: Swimming, cycling, running - that's it!

Triathlon consists of a series of three disciplines, which are swimming, cycling and running, by the same athlete and in the same order.

At the beginning of triathlon, the triathlete was thought to be a madman with suicidal tendencies.
It was not until 1974 that the first modern triathlon appeared in the United States. It is directed and designed by Jack Johnstone and Don Shanahan and sponsored by the San Diego Track Club at Fiesta Island near San Diego, California

Preconceived ideas about triathlon

Television liked to show these beings deformed by pain, accomplishing, without rational preparation, inhuman distances as in Hawaii or Nice, sweating blood and water for the pure and hard pleasure of hurting themselves. One can even ask the following question: Circus games or sports competition?

The public recognizes the infinite courage of these "fighters" of the new dawn of triathlon. But at the same time, he denounced the absurdity of a sport where suffering takes precedence over reason. These can be summed up in the mixed reactions of the media and their impact on the public.

They are proofs of the power of the media that can touch man's faculties and certainly influence him, depending on the narrative, the description or the representation of the data of a demonstration.

Today, triathlon has become part of the way of life.

Its adapted distances allow young and old alike to find a new balance made of air, land and water. This sport continues to make its way. He is recognized by the Society and expected, that he forms the will and creates a spectacle; Because it breathes life and makes the crowds dream.

Being a triathlete today means dressing in colour, laughing, maintaining camaraderie and using state-of-the-art equipment. In addition, he roamed lakes and rivers, country roads and wooded paths. It is to experience an unparalleled joy in combining nature and pleasure.
