Our Methodology

We remind our kind and future customers that our methodology is based on the sciences of education, which makes it particularly enjoyable because it is fun and above all particularly effective because we have put at the end of learning, what most schools put at the beginning: technique. In our system, technique happens when everything is mastered: sensations, perceptions, balance in the water and most importantly... the situation in space.

If you are one of those who believe, hard as iron, that when you don't know how to swim, you sink, you fall, you go to the bottom, our teachers will persuade you otherwise in 45 – 60 or 90 cm of water... demonstrations to back it up! If you think you will never be able to learn to swim, register on Wednesdays at 20:45 p.m.

Archaic Reflexes

It is important to know that the baby, at birth, is governed by hundreds of archaic involuntary reflexes, many of which are still unknown...

Among the most well-known, those that interest us: the sucking reflex, grasping reflex, walking, swimming (swimming reflex), apnea, etc...

The baby's brain envelope, the seat of intelligence, will not be developed until the age of 6 months. All archaic reflexes, gradually, will have disappeared.

Our methodology is based on these important notions that totally condition the baby's behavior. Until the age of 4 or 5 months, these archaic reflexes work perfectly. For example, if a 4-month-old baby is totally immersed (head underwater), immediately and instinctively, he or she will go into apnea (blocking his or her breathing).

The Gentle Method

In 1945, in the state of California alone, there were as many private swimming pools as in all of Europe! Accidents have occurred, babies have fallen into the family pool and drowned. Very quickly, a method that consisted of making the baby who falls into the water turn on his back and wait for someone to come and pick him up, was born, developed and spread.

This method is still very much present today, but has been redesigned, but its purpose is still dorsal flotation. This is the case for most of the baby swimming schools that we know in Switzerland as well as in France.

This is in contrast to the "hard" method for the baby (where the baby was thrown into the water). It was done without even learning, but it was pure and simple training based on the survival instinct...

Fear of water

Water phobia is essentially a psychological adaptation. For anyone who believes that when you can't swim, you sink, you'll find that it's downright impossible

It is essentially a psychological adaptation. At the beginning, everything is done in 40 cm of water.

To discover the a priori hostile element in a playful way. Enjoy splashing around. Feel good in the water.

For all those who believe, hard as iron, that if you don't know how to swim, you fall, you sink, we will amuse you to discover, with proof to prove it, that it is downright impossible!

Erase prejudices, fears, eradicate the fear of water through psychological "shocks" and irrefutable proof that, in water, we float! In the end: dorsal flotation - ventral flotation - aquatic habituation.
